My love for storks started long before KC Storks ever existed.

When our son was born in 2011, someone gifted our family a stork sign to celebrate his arrival. It was such a simple gesture, but seeing that stork standing in our yard as we brought our sweet baby boy home made an already unforgettable moment feel even more special.

 

After relocating from North Carolina to Kansas City, I couldn’t stop thinking about that memory and how much it had meant to our family. I wanted other families to experience that same feeling—and in 2012, KC Storks was born.

 

Two years later, the stork landed in our own yard once again when we welcomed our daughter. This time, I was the one placing it there, but somehow the magic was just as meaningful.

 

That moment reminded me exactly why I started KC Storks in the first place.

 

It’s never been just about the stork. It’s about the excitement of a new arrival, the love surrounding a growing family, and creating a memory they’ll hold onto long after the stork has flown away.

 

More than a decade later, I still feel incredibly fortunate every time a family invites KC Storks to be a small part of such a big moment in their lives.
